SALT LAKE CITY – After a 32-19 regular season, Utah Softball earned an at-large bid to the 2016 NCAA Tournament, the NCAA announced Sunday night.
The NCAA selection committee, which released the 64-team field on ESPNU Sunday evening, announced that Utah would travel to the Lexington Regional and face Illinois (35-21) on Friday, May 20. The host Kentucky Wildcats will play the Butler Bulldogs in the other contest
"It is exciting to go back because I think we will be more prepared and know what to expect,” head coach Amy Hogue said.
