Softball. Utah Softball Drops Opener in Extras to No. 24 Notre Dame

TEMPE, Ariz. - Delilah Pacheco had four hits in her debut but Utah Softball dropped its opener, 2-1 in eight innings to No. 24 Notre Dame, at the Kajikawa Classic.

"Delilah had an amazing start to her career as a Ute," head coach Amy Hogue said. "Wow, was she great today. For her to come in at the leadoff spot and get four of our six hits was a real highlight."

The Utes got all six of their hits from the first three hitters in the lineup and sophomore Katie Donovan was solid in the circle, going 7 1/3 innings, allowing no earned runs, and striking out three batters.
