Palm Springs, Calif. - Utah Softball won its third game in as many days and valiantly battled the No. 1 team in the nation on Saturday at the Mary Nutter Classic. The Utes were defeated by Florida this morning, 1-0, before topping CSUN, 3-1.

Miranda Viramontes threw a complete game and limited the defending national champions to their lowest run total of the season but the Ute offense was also stymied, notching just one hit.
