Softball. Utah Softball Breaks Out in Ninth, Beats No. 18 Arizona 7-3

TUCSON, Ariz. - Utah Softball scored five times in extra innings and topped No. 18 Arizona, 7-3 in nine innings to even their Pac-12 series.

Hannah Flippen’s fifth homer in the last four games got Utah off to a good start for the second night in a row. This time, the Utes closed the deal, busting the game open in the final frame and earning the victory. UA entered tonight’s game with .888 winning percentage on its home field, Hillenbrand Stadium.

Ally Dickman had two more hits tonight, giving her four for the series, and Anissa Urtez extended her team-high hitting streak to nine games with a first-inning double.
