In a bit of disappointing news, especially the 9-5ers out there, Saturday’s scrimmage has been moved to Tuesday at 3pm at Rice-Eccles Stadium. Saturday is now reserved for a closed practice. The weather may not be the best Saturday, so that may be a reason for the move, but it’s not clear why they decided to move the scrimmage. The scrimmage should be about 80 plays, and we should get a little bit more of a look at the new look offense, and some of the youngsters on both sides of the ball.
Scrimmages, for people who haven’t seen many of them, don’t look like a typical game, as coaches usually work various scenarios and situations, such as two minute drill, goal line, red zone and other.
