The University of Utah announced today that sophomore gymnast Sabrina Schwab will miss the remainder of the 2017 season with a torn ACL. Schwab, who was the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year in 2016, competed in the all-around in Utah’s first two meets. A 2016 NCCA Championships All-American on uneven bars, Schwab hit all 34 routines in her Utah career to date. She also set a Utah record by winning Pac-12 Freshman of the Week four times last season. This is a blow to a team that is competing for an NCAA Championship because they lose a talented gymnast and will have to replace four routines.
