SALT LAKE CITY — In an off night for offensive play-making in the first half, Utah managed a 69-64 win over the visiting Tulsa Golden Hurricane Saturday at the Huntsman Center.
The Runnin’ Utes struggled to get shots to fall against the Golden Hurricane early; but senior Sedrick Barefield led the team in the second half with 15 points on 5-of-13 shooting and 4-of-8 from deep. All of Barefield's points came in the second half as he found a rhythm behind the 3-point line.
Freshman Both Gach, who earned a starting role Saturday, added 15 points of his own on 4-of-8 shooting.
