SALT LAKE CITY — Wide receiver coach Taylor Stubblefield will no longer be a member of the University of Utah coaching staff.
Head coach Kyle Whittingham announced Wednesday that Stubblefield "will not return" as the team's position coach after two years with the program. Stubblefield joined the coaching staff in 2014 amid the hiring of embroiled offensive coordinator Dave Christensen.
While the reason for Stubblefield's departure is not immediately known, the wide receiver group was one of the position groups that struggled the most to gain momentum this last season. Although hampered by a lack of experience and injuries throughout the season, the receiver group failed to make a splash on the offensive makeup of the team.
