Utah running back Devontae Booker wasn't always on a path to greatness. Sometimes, he wondered if he'd ever even play major college football.
Coming out of high school, Booker's scholarship was pulled from Washington State due to low SAT scores. Then, he tried to go to Fresno State -- conditional on a qualifying test score. After a solid attempt with the ACT, more complications stood in the way of Booker and a legitimate scholarship offer from a Division-I university.
After two years starring at a junior college in California, Booker was once again ineligible for Division-I play due to an issue with an online English class.
