SALT LAKE CITY — Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott was in attendance Thursday to witness Utah's 81-46 thumping of Arizona State and had some encouraging things to say about the conference.
Scott told media at halftime that he believes the conference is as deep and as competitive as any other time since he's been the conference's commissioner.
"I think we're in the strongest position we've been in since I've been here," he said. "I think it's been a steady build and the trajectory is going in the right direction in terms of depth and competitiveness in Pac-12 basketball.
