SALT LAKE CITY — Coming into Rice-Eccles Stadium, North Dakota knew it’d have to play lights out and hope for several mistakes by Utah to get a win. Despite a 37-16 loss, the Fighting Hawks are leaving the campus impressed with the Utes’ new high-powered offense and quarterback Tyler Huntley.
“(Huntley) has a lot of talent,” said North Dakota head coach Bubba Schweigert. “We guessed that coming in, especially when a sophomore can beat out a senior captain.”
While playing in front of 45,905 fans, marking Utah’s 45th straight sellout, North Dakota struggled defending Utah’s new offensive scheme.
