There was some interesting news that came out of practice today. Of course, no news on the QB battle, but many think it’s Troy Williams’ job and he’ll win the starting role at the end of the day. There also some position switches, namely Josh Nurse being moved to safety. Coach Whitt said they need some bodies at safety, especially with Chase Hansen on the mend. Nurse was the late addition before camp started out of Blinn Community College, as a wide receiver. Speaking of wide receiver, Coach Whittingham has said they have some depth there, allowing the move of Nurse.
