DENVER - The No. 68 Utah men's tennis team was defeated this afternoon at the Stapleton Tennis Pavilion by No. 48 Denver, 5-1.
Utah looked like it would grab the doubles point after taking the first match at the No. 1 position. Dan Little and Matt Cowley defeated David Fox and Alex Gasson, 7-5.However, the Utes dropped the other two matches, 7-6 and fell behind the Pioneers, 1-0.
The Pioneers went ahead 3-0 as they won at No. 1 and No. 2 in singles action. Cowley fell to Henry Craig, 6-2, 6-1 while David Micevski was beaten, 6-3, 6-1 by Diogo Rocha.
