M. Tennis. No. 7 Utah Suffer Shut Out in First Round of Pac-12 Men's Tennis Championships

OJAI, Calif. - The seventh-seeded Utah men's tennis team (11-13, 1-6 Pac-12) was blanked by sixth-seeded Washington (13-10, 2-5 Pac-12) Wednesday during the first round of the 2015 Pac-12 Men's Tennis Championships at Libbey Park.

The Utes started the match with a valiant effort in doubles action as junior Jamey Swiggart and sophomore Parker McGuiness defeated Joao Barra and Vik Farkas, 8-3 at the No. 2 position. But the Huskies upended the Utes at the third and first spots which netted them a 1-0 lead going into singles play.
