TUCSON, Ariz. - The Utah men’s golf team carded a 14-over par, (298) on Friday and currently sits in tenth place after one round of play at the Arizona Intercollegiate, which is being held at the Sewailo Golf Club.

Utah heads into the second round of play 21 strokes behind Washington, who leads the tournament with a first-round score of 7-under par (277). Tournament host, Arizona, is in a tie for fourth after shooting a first-round score of 8-over par (292).

Texas (E) is in second-place, New Mexico (+6) follows in third, while California (+8) is tied with Arizona in fourth-place.
