SALT LAKE CITY — Utah’s defensive players were on show in Week 2 of the NFL season. Eric Weddle and Bobby Wagner both make highlight reel interceptions in wins for their teams. Alex Smith continues to impress in his win against the Eagles, only missing seven passes for the game. Garett Bolles goes down with an injury and is carted off the field to a standing ovation. His X-rays come back negative for an Achilles tear.
Weddle is in his 11th season in the NFL and still showing he has a lot left in his tank. Weddle was let go by the Chargers two years ago, when they felt he was on the decline of his career.
