SALT LAKE CITY — In a special edition of SportsBeat, we re-live the best moments and biggest stories of 2015. Some of the biggest happened in the last month of the year, including Bronco Mendenhall announcing Dec. 4 he was leaving for Virginia after 11 years as BYU's head football coach.
The news came as BYU was preparing for a big rivalry game in Las Vegas, the first-ever meeting between the Cougars and archrival Utah at a neutral site in the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl. Utah went on to win the game, 35-28 — and we also learned that after a couple years' absence, the rivalry is still on.
