Jakob Poeltl Named Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week

The accolades keep rolling in for sophomore center Jakob Poeltl after a strong week last week helping the Runnin' Utes complete a road sweep of the Washington schools. Poeltl was named Pac-12 Player of the Week, and now he has been named Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week as well (which is awards by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association [USBWA]). Poeltl, a seven footer from Austria, posted 29 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists (all of which either led the team or tied for the team high) in Utah's 80-75 overtime win over the Washington Huskies.

The award, created in 2009, has only been awarded to four Pac-12 players including Poeltl.
