SALT LAKE CITY — The case involving Dominique Hatfield has come to a close, according to a source close to the investigation.
Hatfield, 20, was accused of robbing an individual at knifepoint and stealing money from the victim earlier this month. Charges were later dropped after prosecutors determined Hatfield was not involved, based on surveillance footage from a nearby Maverik convenience store.
Hatfield's attorney Greg Skordas said at the time that he wasn't sure if the state would reinstate misdemeanor charges relating to stolen phones found in Hatfield's possession during his arrest. However, the source close to the investigation said the phones have been returned and that the state would not pursue further charges.
