SALT LAKE CITY — While Utah football celebrates a dominating 48-17 win against UCLA, breaking its four-game losing streak, the Bruins left Salt Lake City with heartbreak.

It’s not just the loss that put UCLA in a somber mood. The team suffered major injuries to key players, including senior star wide receiver Darren Andrews, redshirt freshman second-string quarterback Devon Modster, junior defensive lineman Ainuu Taua, and sophomore linebacker Krys Barnes.

“I’ve never been through anything like this before,” UCLA head coach Jim Mora said. “Not in my 30 years of coaching.”

Andrews and Taua both suffered season-ending injuries.
