SALT LAKE CITY — Holding back tears as he sat behind the podium Saturday, sophomore quarterback Tyler Huntley attempted to describe the worst football performance of his life.
Many would shrink under the pressure of questions hurled their way following a humbling performance. All this before facing the frustrated masses on social media. Some of the critics were probably accurate too.
But there Huntley sat, answering questions as the face of a lackluster offense — the embodiment of a three-game losing streak capped off by a 30-10 loss at home against Arizona State.
“We did that,” Huntley said Saturday, pointing to an overall bland performance by the team.
