How the Pac-12 can still make it to the College Football Playoffs

SALT LAKE CITY — The Pac-12 took a big blow to its possibility of having a team represented in the College Football Playoffs after conference leaders Stanford and Utah lost last weekend. But the latest College Football Playoff rankings released Tuesday may give the Pac-12 a glimmer of hope.

The selection committee kept Stanford and Utah just outside of the Top 10, with Stanford dropping to No. 11 and Utah dropping to No. 13, despite losing to unranked opponents. As a result, there's still hope that one of the teams can have a shot at landing a spot in the final four.
