Former Cal football and rugby player transfers to Utah

Before the California Golden Bears opened spring training camp this year, former defensive end Sione Sina decided that he would leave the team to play rugby for the university. He had only played one game during his two year career with the Golden Bears.

According to College Football Talk, Sina, who started for the Cal rugby team in the national championship game in May, is returning to football just three months after he left the sport. He will be playing his final year of eligibility with a PAC-12 rival as he will be spending the 2015 season in Salt Lake City, Utah with the Utes.
