Football. White Defeats Red in Annual Utah Red-White Football Game, 12-0

SALT LAKE CITY-- Sophomore defensive back Marcus Williams returned an interception 99 yards for a touchdown on the final play of the game and Andy Phillips made a pair of field goals as the White team took down the Red 12-0 in Utah football's annual Red-White spring game in front of 12,224 fans on Saturday afternoon at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

"It was a good clean game without a lot of penalties or turnovers," Ute head coach Kyle Whittingham said. "Five guys really stood out and did some good things: (junior defensive back) Brian Allen, (junior defensive end) Kyle Fitts, (senior defensive end) Jason Fanaika, (freshman wide receiver) Raelon Singleton and (sophomore defensive back) Boobie Hobbs.
