PROVO — College basketball fans in Utah were given a massive present when the state’s top-four program announced the organization of the Beehive Classic at Vivint Arena a week ago.
Under the doubleheader sponsored by Zion’s Bank, matchups involving BYU, Utah, Utah State and Weber State were ensured for the next three years — and potentially longer.
BYU added to those series Friday.
BYU athletic director Tom Holmoe announced three future series with the in-state rivals, giving the Cougars a long-term series with its three Wasatch Front rivals for as many as five years.
