SALT LAKE CITY — Utah did something on Saturday night that a Pac-12 team had never done before, that is play a game at Northern Illinois. The MAC school had never hosted a team from the Pac-12 in DeKalb. And after Saturday night, it's not likely they will again in the very near future.
Head coach Kyle Whittingham wanted to see improvement on both offense and special teams from week one to week two against Northern Illinois. And judging by his comments after the game, I'm not sure that he saw what he was looking for.
For a second straight week, the Utah offense struggled to find any sort of rhythm early in the game.
