Baseball. Utah Baseball Scores Early and Late in 11-5 Win Over Ball State

SURPRISE, Ariz. – Early and late offensive outbursts led to the first win of the season for the Utah baseball team, 11-5 over Ball State.

Utah scored four runs in the first inning and five runs in the eighth inning en route to the win. The Utes were led at the plate by Josh Rose, who went 3-for-3 on the night. Dallas Carroll and DaShawn Keirsey, Jr. each had two hits. Hunter Simmons drove in three runs with Keirsey recording two RBI.

Dalton Carroll pitched five innings, allowing three runs on four hits while walking five and picks up his first win of the year.
