EUGENE, Ore. - Despite an early lead, the Utah baseball team fell to 19th-ranked Oregon, 9-5, on Saturday afternoon.
Utah led 5-2 following a three-run fifth inning, but the Ducks came back to score four in the bottom of the fifth to take the lead and added several insurance runs in the seventh.
Utah was led at the plate by Cody Scaggari, who went 2-for-3 with an RBI double.
Dalton Carroll went 4 2/3 innings on the mound in the start, surrendering six runs on 10 hits with two strikeouts in the loss.
