SALT LAKE CITY -- After rallying in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game at 8-8, a second late rally fell short as the Utah baseball team fell to Utah Valley, 12-11 in 10 innings on Tuesday evening.
Down to its final out, Utah tied the game in the bottom of the ninth. With runners on first and second after a pair of walks, Josh Rose hit an RBI single to right field to send the game to extra innings.
Utah Valley scored four runs off three hits and two walks in the top of the 10th inning to take a 12-8 lead.
