SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Valley took a late lead to overtake the Utah baseball team, as the Utes fell 7-6 to the Wolverines on Tuesday evening.
With the game tied at 4-4, Utah took the lead with two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning before Utah Valley came back with three runs in the top of the eighth to pull ahead. The game-winning run just beat a throw home.
Dallas Carroll led Utah at the plate with a 4-for-5 performance. Hunter Simmons went 2-for-4 with two RBI while DaShawn Keirsey, Jr.
