Baseball. Utah Baseball Falls to California, 9-2

BERKELEY, Calif. - The Utah baseball team dropped game two of its three-game series against California, 9-2 on Sunday evening.

Both teams scored a run in the first inning before California took the lead for good with a three-run third and continued to pull away as the game went on.

Utah was led at the plate by Zack Moeller and Kellen Marruffo, who both went 2-for-4 on the night. Dallas Carroll and Josh Rose each drove in runs.

Dalton Carroll threw five innings in the loss, allowing six runs (five earned) on eight hits with four walks and two strikeouts.
