MORAGA, Calif. – The Utah baseball team dropped game one of a doubleheader with Saint Mary’s, 7-2, and led 2-0 in game two before it was suspended in the seventh due to rain. Game two will resume at Noon on Sunday with game three beginning approximately 30 minutes later. Rain is in the forecast for Sunday.
The Gaels used three home runs en-route to the win, hitting a two-run homer in the third, a three-run homer in the fourth and a solo home run in the sixth inning. Saint Mary’s also scored a run in the fifth after a leadoff double led to an RBI single.
