SALT LAKE CITY - Utah sophomore pitcher Jayson Rose has been invited to the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team training camp.
Training camp invitees are playing to make a 24-man roster that will compete in an international friendship series against Chinese Taipei, Japan, and Cuba. The team trains in Southern California and faces teams from local summer leagues through July 2 before traveling to Taiwan (July 5-9), Japan (July 12-17) and Cuba (July 23-27).
Rose, an All-Pac-12 selection, broke the single-season Utah strikeout record with 106 and led the Pac-12 through the regional round of play.
