WBSC Premier12 Pro Schedule and Results
SALT LAKE CITY - Former Utah baseball player Trey Nielsen has been named to the Team Italia Premier12 team roster.
The team will compete in the WBSC Premier12 Tournament in Taipei, Taiwan (with semifinals and finals to be held in Tokyo, Japan), Nov. 9 to 21. The Utes have two former players competing in the tournament, with Parker Morin on the USA roster.
Nielsen was a 30th-round draft pick to the St. Louis Cardinals in 2013. He pitched for the High-A Palm Beach Cardinals last year with a 9-6 record and a 2.
