While many sports have wrapped up for the 2016-17 school year, there are still a few sports still competing, including the Utah softball team, which ranks in the top 10.
Softball
Utah rose into the top 10 after defeating No. 1 Arizona twice in Salt Lake City, to claim their first wins ever over the top ranked team in the country and first series win. These wins moved Utah into the top 10 in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches poll. Utah went down to Tempe, Ariz. and won the series against Arizona State. They dropped the first game 9-8 but won the final two 7-6 and 2-1.
