Former 2016 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year and All-American gymnast Sabrina Schwab will have to retire for medical reasons. Schwab suffered an injury and missed every meet except for the first two of the season. Schwab competed in the all-around for Utah last season prior to her injury. In her short Utah career, the Lucas, Texas native never had a fall, going 34-of-34 hit routines.
We have reached out to the gymnastics department to try to get comment and will provide updates if/when we speak with Schwab and/or co-head coach Megan Marsden.
