SALT LAKE CITY — Four months after turning 18, Jayce Johnson, a highly-coveted athlete from Santa Monica, California, left his home and moved into the college dorms at the University of Utah.
It was not an unusual sight for a kid his age to be moving into a dorm room, but it was the week of Christmas break and few were on campus to give him any direction or guidance in is new home. His future team had just upset Duke at Madison Square Garden in New York that same week and had yet to formally meet their new teammate.
