He released a top five including Alabama, Nebraska, USC, Utah, and Washington. Latu was previously committed to BYU before opening up his recruitment and blowing up.:00 p.m. Latu competed at The Opening in Beaverton, Ore. in July. He is the top-rated defensive end in the West according to Scout.
