HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Kyle Whittingham has been around Utah as head coach for a while, so he’s used to one-on-one interviews at the annual Pac-12 Media Days in California.
But for the first time in several years, the status of his contract didn’t come up, nor did the high-profile departure of several assistant coaches when he sat down with KSL Sports in the Golden State.
Stability and a 10-win season in the Pac-12 have allowed the Utes to focus on bigger and better things — like finally getting over the hump and contending for a spot in the league’s championship game.
