A woman was killed in Clearfield on Thursday morning after she was struck by a pickup truck at the intersection of 700 south and the I-15 northbound offramp.
According to Clearfield Police Department, the 20-year-old woman — whose name has not been released — was struck at 6:41 a.m. She was transported by ambulance to a hospital, where she died a short time later.
The driver of the truck, an adult male, “remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation,” according to a statement by Assistant Chief Devin Rogers.
Police are working to determine whether the victim was in a crosswalk when she was struck.
