Utah women's basketball: Utes win big at Utah State 79-44

LOGAN — The University of Utah women’s basketball team posted a 79-44 win on the road against Utah State on Monday night, improving to 8-2 on the season.

Tilar Clark, who began her collegiate career at Utah State, led the Utes in scoring with 17 points, shooting 6-for-9 from the field while adding five rebounds. Emily Potter chipped in 16 points and nine rebounds with Megan Huff (15 points) and Tori Williams (10 points) rounding out Utah’s double-digit scorers.

It was a back-and-forth scoring affair to start the first quarter, but Huff sparked a 10-0 run for the Utes with five straight points, giving Utah a 13-4 lead with 5:29 on the clock.
