Utah State’s Dominik Eberle has been named an SB Nation Honorable Mention All-American, it was announced Friday. SB Nation is a sports news website owned and operated by Vox Media.
Eberle, who was one of four placekickers recognized by SB Nation, is the first-ever Utah State placekicker named an All-American and just the second-ever specialist, joining Steve Mullins, who was named an Honorable Mention All-American punter by Football News in 2001.
Eberle, who was also a finalist for the Lou Groza Award this season as the nation’s best placekicker, becomes the second Aggie to earn All-America honors this season, joining senior CB Jalen Davis, who was named a Walter Camp Football Foundation First-Team All-American.
