Utah State women’s tennis opens dual match season against Southern Utah on Saturday

Utah State women’s tennis (0-0) is set to being its dual match season on Saturday, as the Aggies host Southern Utah (0-2) at 10 a.m., at the Sports Academy and Racquet Club.

“We are excited to get the season started against a much improved SUU program,” head coach Sean McInerney said. “The team has been working really hard and is eager to begin the spring season.”

USU competed in five events during the fall and was led by sophomore Sophia Haleas, who went 9-3 in singles. Freshman Sasha Pisareva finished 6-2 in singles, senior Sabrina Demerath had a 6-3 record, senior Maggie O’Meara was 6-4 and junior Jenna Kane went 5-3.
