The Mountain West Conference announced its 2015-16 Scholar-Athlete Award recipients on Friday, and Utah State had 102 student-athletes recognized as part of a league-record 734 who were honored. The mark bested the previous year’s record pool of 730 student-athletes.
Women’s track and field represented the largest number of those recognized among Utah State’s 102, with 33 honorees. Women's cross-country was next with 18, followed by women's soccer (12), men's track and field (11), women's basketball (six), softball and volleyball each with five, women's tennis (four), men's cross-country and men's golf each with three, and men's basketball and men's tennis each with one.
