For the fifth straight year, Utah State has made a bowl game. It will be playing Akron in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Dec. 22. This is a preview of that game.
Utah State comes into the game 6-6 and third in the Mountain West Conference with a record of 5-3. USU is also coming off of a home loss against BYU. USU has had two last-minute-loss games this year, one at New Mexico and another at Air Force. It also had a huge win over, at the time, ranked Boise State. Utah State has averaged over 370 yards per game this season and over 29 points.
