Funeral services for former Utah State star and long-time team physician John Worley will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the River Heights Stakes Center.
Worley died last week. He was 90.
In the late 1940s, Worley competed in football and track at Utah State. He is best known for scoring the winning touchdown against Utah on Thanksgiving Day in 1946. The victory clinched a conference championship for the Aggies.
Worley later spent 42 years as Utah State's team physician. He retired in 1998.
"Doctor Worley dedicated his life to Utah State athletics, and there are countless Aggies who benefited from his knowledge and devotion," said USU athletic director John Hartwell.
