Utah State basketball: Nevada holds off Aggies' second-half rally

Logan • D.J. Fenner scored 21 points and Marqueze Coleman made six straight free throws in the final 36 seconds Saturday night, leading Nevada to an 89-84 victory over Utah State at the Spectrum.

The Wolf Pack owned a 49-35 lead at halftime, when they were 8-for-16 from the 3-point line. Nevada increased its lead to 18 with back-to-back baskets to open the second half before the Aggies rallied.

Shane Rector's jumper tied the game, 78-78, with 2:50 remaining, but Nevada regained control from the free-throw line. The Wolf Pack's final 10 points came on foul shots.
