Logan • Diogo Brito, a 6-foor-5 guard from Mountain Mission (Va.) High School, has signed a letter-of-intent with Utah State, according to coach Tim Duryea.
Brito has played on Portugal's national teams since 2012. Last season, he averaged 17.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.4 steals and 3.1 assists during the European Under-18 Championships. He scored 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds against Sweden.
"Diogo is a very skilled offensive player and understands the pick-and-roll offense very well," Duryea said. "He's a good passer with good range. We are really impressed with his all-around offensive game. He has a great deal of international experience and we are excited to add an athlete of his caliber.
