Utah tied its season-high for points in a first half on its way to a 95-71 win over LSU at the Jon M. Huntsman Center on Monday night. The win pushed Utah’s record to 21-11 this season.
Junior guard Sedrick Barefield scored a team-high 17 points and led five Utes who scored at least 12 points. The Utes set a season high for points in a game with 95, and they shot 58 percent from the field.
The Utes will play the winner of the Saint Mary’s-Washington game that tipped off at 9 p.m. MT. The Utes would travel to Saint Mary’s, but would host Pac-12 rival Washington by virtue of being the higher seed.
