Utah philanthropist Jon Huntsman’s life celebrated by his children, Mormon faith leaders

He founded a cancer research center and gave at least $1.8 billion to charity. He worked as President Richard Nixon’s staff secretary and lent his private jet to Mormon prophets and apostles. He served as a gunnery officer in the Navy and then launched a chemical company that won a contract to make the Big Mac container.

On Saturday, Jon Huntsman Sr. will be eulogized for it all by the people who make up a major part of his expansive legacy: his kids.

A funeral for the philanthropist and billionaire businessman starts at 11 a.m. at the 15,000 seat basketball arena that bears his name.
